During the video editing or post-production phase the film assumes its definitive form. The film language creates the story and music, effects and titles are added.

The editor’s work is based on information in the “editing sheet”, a special printed form the script supervisor uses to note the reference numbers used to identify each scene during shooting.

Quite often the story is not filmed in chronological order. Scenes in the same location are shot together; they will then be inserted in different parts of the film. At times the same scene is shot various times with different framing.

The editor must then edit the film or video, first selecting all the material needed from an extremely large quantity of footage. Then begins the real editing work, which is normally supervised by the director. Once the visual editing has been approved, sound editing (voices, effects, music) and final sound mixing are completed.

Non-linear editing systems offer numerous advantages as compared with linear systems. Non-linear editors (NLE) allow for color correction, the management of multiple shooting perspectives and real time modifications and revisions.

Video can also be edited on location, immediately after filming, directly on the memory card.
The entire digital workflow is based on P2 memory cards, which are used by top international Broadcasters.



Digital composing

Autori Multimediali creates videos with multiple overlapping levels via digital composing.
We use this technique for theme songs, animations, TV spots, visual effects etc.

It is possible to overlap an unlimited number of levels: video, graphics, text and animations.
Using Adobe After Effects, Boris Effects or Ice FX we create video effects that can satisfy any creative desire.
